Today is World Ranger day. As a Field Guides I would like to salute our APU (Anti Poaching Unit) Rangers. We appreciate you, your guts and your passion for protecting and defending our Rhinos. You may be out of sight, but you are surely not forgotten! Today we  remember the ones that lost their lives in the fight and stand proud with the ones in battle!!

Over 7100 known rhinos have been poached in South Africa in the last 10 years. There are only some 17 369 - 19 369 white- and 1822 - 2014 Black rhinos left in South Africa, which is home to 74% of Africa's remaining rhino population.
